A HEART WARMING SECRET VIEW OF A TWISTED FAMILY IN THEIR NATURAL HABITAT, TELEPATHICALLY RECORDED FROM THE ONLY FAMILY MEMBER OF ANY SIGNIFICANCE, JUST AFTER A TYPICAL ROW, AND PRESENTED HERE AS EVIDENCE OF THE HUMANITY OF THE SUBJECTS (INTERSPERSED WITH COMMENTS BY THE RECORDER,) AS OPPOSED TO THE SOCIAL-ANTHROPOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT GIVEN BY THE PROSECUTION.

‘What matters is that it neither matters, nor, matters not. Today, a decision was made to ignore all matters, and mutterings related thereoff.’

(It was not very original or ground-breaking, this decision. Rather, it was similar to a commitment to monkish hibernation, or maybe to the indolence of the experienced procrastinator.) “Naturally, these likenings were self –invented and not significant when viewed from objective perspectives.” Editor’s note on the recorder’s comment.*

‘Neither the musings nor the solid bare feet sounds of the many stones wandering around the house are being noticed by my wife and children. I sagely twitch my face muscles also, to no avail. Oh, the ignominy of being ignored in one’s own home and by the manipulator and fruit of these so very fleshy loins!

It is so difficult, under these circumstances, to act or feel as one’s club swinging/tree swinging forefathers. Also one cannot establish a reputable dynasty in view of all the disrespect which has been permeating the paint of the walls of this house for so long.

Maybe I should have it repainted, or, better still, wall-papered; all the while forcing the perpetrators of this silent derision to stand with their backs to the wall. This shall be their punishment. Not being painted or wall-papered, but seeing the ugly mold of their formerly comely bodies, as they walk away to wash the paint or pieces of wall-paper clinging to their selves which have now been totally drained of the slights and the snubs they had gathered for future use.

*All of this paragraph should have been presented as two footnotes. The pretentious note of the recorder in parenthesis above could also have been deleted.

Now, their inattention and neglect will be focused on their own mold gathering images in the wall and I shall be free to, once again, preen and strut under their, once more, loving, laughing gaze.’
