it is a deception

true to mankind

and spouses

and consultants

and self and rulers

never symmetrical

geometrical

and mathematical

and typical

barely logical

loosely philosophical

well dressed

and

raggedly wholesome

yet

snug and smug

knowing all

producing

potential energy

requiring kinetic energy

with time

with nostalgia

for clutter

for objects

purchased and received

ideas and images

thought and imagined

all very personal

also 

occasional

communal

forming

a gestalt

of towers and walls

of emotion

of more than one

who were

troglodytes

in former lives

with no homes

or clutter of objects

but

thoghts and images

present

future

CULTURAL THEFT OR BORROWING

cultures

in the broad

or even narrowest sense

require theft 

of customs

and

thoughts

and

tastes

within and outside itself

persons in one culture

may steal

or borrow

with the best intentions

from others

knowingly

or blindly

even

indiscriminately

hence

political systems

types of worship

ceremonies

holy and unholy days

customs and costumes

framed photos

of mountains

of ancestors

of children

of parents

and pets

and statues of wild animals

of ozymandias

and demigods

once human

to remind

to ponder 

and to wonder

all make a home

timeless

to some

cluttered to others

and to me

a home of laughs

thoughts

and lives

and humor

laughing at myself

at the past

and the future
