If

All your days are exciting

And different

As you

And all that is yours,

If

A birthday is for remembrance

and an embrace

of love and life,

Thirty 

Is a figure of speech.

With

Much or little meaning

As a hawk

On a night-in-a-gale,

even to a  nightingale,

In an alley, 

Or by a window pane.

Her fashion has changed

Forks and routes of travel through Life

No longer on her face

Just a sense of wonder

Wondering of birth and of new routes

Not for herself

For new fun, new joy, new fortune

A  new puzzle piece

Found anew

Like parents, children, companion 

To be coveted

To keep covered

Fulfilled

Even fed

To be shown the horizon

And images of all the ages

For him to set his stage 

And write a play
